About Me

Hi, I’m Mario, and welcome to Gardenner!

I’m not a master gardener or a botanist. I’m just someone who fell head over heels for growing things, and I’ve been learning by doing (and sometimes by killing a plant or two) ever since.

Gardenner is where I share everything I learn along the way: what worked, what flopped, and what I’d do differently next time. If you’ve ever stared at a yellowing leaf and wondered what on earth you did wrong, you’re in the right place.

Why I started Gardenner

When I first got into gardening, most advice I found was either way too technical or way too vague. I wanted something in between: friendly, practical tips from a real person who’s figuring it out too.

So I made it! Gardenner is the gardening friend I wish I’d had when I started.

What you’ll find here

  • Beginner-friendly guides to growing veggies, herbs, flowers, and houseplants
  • Simple garden ideas for small spaces, balconies, containers, and backyards
  • Seasonal to-do lists so you always know what to plant and when
  • Honest tool and product picks that make gardening easier (and more fun)
  • Lessons from my own mistakes, so you can skip a few of them

My gardening philosophy

Gardening shouldn’t feel intimidating. You don’t need a huge yard, fancy tools, or a green thumb to get started. You just need a little curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Every wilted seedling is a lesson, and every first tomato is a small victory worth celebrating.

A quick honest note

Because I’m an enthusiast and not a professional, I always do my research and share what I’ve learned from experience. For anything serious, like plant safety, pests, or local growing conditions, I’ll point you to expert sources such as your local cooperative extension office. You can read more in our Disclaimer.
